Backed by Khosla Ventures, Mass Mutual, and the founder of 23&Me.

The location of the role is in the United States (remote with periodic travel).

Fractional engagement (approximately 1 day per week).

This individual will shape Daye's long-term clinical and medical strategy, guide US market entry and scale, and ensure that scientific excellence translates into real-world clinical adoption.

This is not an advisory-only role. The CMO will actively influence company strategy, champion Daye across US healthcare ecosystems, and help close the persistent gap between diagnostic innovation and clinical deployment.

We strongly prefer candidates who maintain active clinical practice or academic appointments and who originate from R&D or academia, with a proven record of successfully commercialising biotechnology or diagnostics innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

US Clinical & Medical Strategy
  • Shape Dayes US clinical strategy in partnership with the CEO, Head of US Commercial Strategy, and leadership team.
  • Ensure clinical claims, evidence generation, and medical positioning support regulatory, reimbursement, and adoption pathways.
  • Guide post-market surveillance and quality-of-care frameworks.
US Market Advocacy & Thought Leadership
  • Build Daye's clinical credibility and brand presence across American healthcare communities.
  • Represent Daye with public health leaders, policy makers, women's health advocacy groups, cervical cancer organizations, and professional societies.
  • Serve as a visible medical ambassador for Daye in the US.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with CDC, ACOG, public health institutions, advocacy groups and key women's health networks.
  • Facilitate strategic introductions to healthcare systems, academic centers, and clinical leaders.
Publication & Evidence Strategy
  • Lead US-focused publication strategy, prioritizing American medical journals and conferences.
  • Advise on study design and data packages that support regulatory, payer, and provider adoption.
Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) Development
  • Recruit and build a high-caliber US-based Clinical Advisory Board.
  • Shape CAB charter, cadence, and focus areas, including quality of care, post-market surveillance, and clinical integration.
Board-Level Contribution
  1. Serve as an Independent Director, helping shape overarching company strategy.
  2. Educate the Board on US medical, regulatory, and clinical market dynamics.
  3. Provide governance-level oversight of clinical risk and opportunity.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent terminal medical degree.
  • Active clinician or academically affiliated preferred.
  • Background in diagnostics, at-home testing, molecular diagnostics, or women's health strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience translating scientific innovation into commercial clinical adoption.
  • Strategic company-level experience (e.g., prior CMO, SVP Medical Affairs, or equivalent leadership role).
  • Deep networks across OB/GYN, infectious disease, cancer screening, microbiology, or women's health.
  • Strong understanding of US healthcare systems, regulatory pathways, reimbursement, and market access.
  • Comfortable operating across science, product, regulatory, and commercial.

Who This Role Is For

This role suits a senior medical leader who has participated in scaling at-home or decentralized diagnostics, who values scientific rigor, and who is motivated by moving innovation into everyday clinical practice. The right candidate is intellectually curious, strategically minded, well-networked, and excited to help build the next generation of women's health diagnostics.
