The Team

The Darwin Homes team is composed of a diverse set of alumni from DoorDash, Square, Facebook, Apple, LinkedIn, and other top technology companies. The founders and executive team have over 30+ years of combined experience in scaling disruptive technology and operations-focused businesses. Darwin Homes was backed by top Silicon Valley venture capital (Khosla, Fifth Wall) and was acquired by Pagaya Technologies, a publicly traded company, in early 2023. Pagaya is an AI/ML data technology company with offices in Tel Aviv, New York, and Austin.

About the role

Darwin Homes is growing fast and we're looking for a highly motivated, intelligent, and passionate Director of Shared Services to join our team. We’re growing fast, and growth means the challenges we’ll work on together will change as we lead Darwin through new and different phases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ yrs of experience leading a Real Estate Operations Team (Prop Tech Space is a bonus)
  • Prior experience creating & performance managing a team to a set of KPIs
  • 1+ year of experience working with dashboards and reports to support KPI accountability
  • Prior experience hiring, training and managing a department
  • 3+ yrs building out processes and tasks for team(s) when managing dept
  • 1+ yrs of experience maintaining suite of SOPs for all roles on team, retraining when necessary
  • Prior experience optimizing workflows through product buildout
  • Prior experience managing department P&L

What you'll Do:

  • Own escalations with teams
  • Conduct root cause analysis when same issue occurs 2x or more and resolve accordingly
  • Foster career development where possible for team members
  • Execute daily team work as needed
  • Other duties as assigned as company evolves
