Join the power movement as an Electrical Commissioning Field Lead
The Mechanical Commissioning Field Lead is responsible for leading a small team (3-5 technicians) in the execution of SASY Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities including Functional Testing under the direction of the Commissioning Test Engineers. These activities may also include many of the assembly activities, as commissioning will take place in parallel with assembly for this part of the SPARC project. The Commissioning Field Lead will have daily hands-on responsibilities.

What you'll do:

  • Execute long term complex testing procedures performed in the field encompassing applicable disciplines and several stages based upon project maturity and status of completion
  • Work under the direction of Commissioning Test Coordinator to execute SASY In-Situ Test Procedures
  • Serve as front line supervisor for commissioning technicians, provide guidance and instruction to cross functional groups of technicians contracted to CFS for commissioning activities
  • Identify issues and potential issues pro-actively, ensure accurate submission to commissioning management system and assist to drive issues to successful conclusion
  • Ensure completion of all Commissioning documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Oversee technicians, third party entities, and vendors in the field; embody the CFS behaviors and guiding principles in all interactions
  • Represent the Commissioning Team in collaboration with all CFS cross-functional teams as required
  • Execute the Detailed Commissiong Plan for assigned systems in collaboration with Mechanical, Instrumentation/Controls, and Diagnostic Commissioning Test Engineers
  • Adhere to the highest standards of safety and ensure that activities taking place are being performed in strict accordance with CFS safety policies and applicable regulatory safety standards
  • Execute and upload Inspection Test Reports specific to components in assigned systems and ensure accurate submission to Commissioning Management System

What we're looking for:

  • HS Diploma
  • Mid-level proficiency in MS Office, and BlueBeam or Acrobat

Bonus points for:

  • 7 Years Commissioning (similar and cross functional experience in operations or maintenance is acceptable)
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Commissioning Experience
  • OSHA 10
  • NFPA 70E

Must-have requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
