As a member of the CFS Supply Chain Team you will be responsible for assisting in meeting company objectives through Logistics and Material movement. Your focus will be supporting timely shipping inbound and outbound of CFS goods and materials. You will need to be able to take on project style shipments in a project management role - showing the leadership to propose solutions for stakeholders and customers to enable meeting schedule and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset and have the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
This team member will:
- Project Management of large shipment projects including schedule, scope and initial costing exercises
- Conduct multi model transportation analysis - including specialized large heavy cargo from international territories to US locations via Ocean, Air, Rail or truck
- Prepare robust transportation solutions with cost / lead time impact analysis to present to stakeholders and leadership team
- Manage outgoing and incoming domestic and international shipments documentation to ensure all compliance requirements are met
- Review and decide the best HTS classifications with the compliance team
- Obey and enforce CFS Safety guidelines and policies on the loading dock and in the warehouse; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors while maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensure compliance with CFS SDS requirements, HAZMAT storage and shipping plans
The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma required
- 7+ Years combined experience in Shipping or Logistics field with some experience handling complex cargo
- Strong computer skills with MS office and G-Suite applications
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Inventory & warehousing operational knowledge
- Domestic & International shipping experience
- Multimodal transportation experience
Additional experience and/or qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Experience in start-up or high growth environment
- Manufacturing/shop floor environment experience
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform activities such as stopping, typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time
- Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
