Trucking is a massive industry but it is a traditional industry and like many traditional industries, it is ripe for innovation.
CloudTrucks is building the operating system for trucking and is the first platform specifically designed to empower truck drivers. Our all-in-one, “business in a box” solution optimizes and automates operations and accelerates cash-flow for drivers, so they can focus on building their business.
Being an all-in-one platform, our product development teams tackle a broad range of complex challenges ranging from understanding geolocation and logistics route optimizations, to IOT and SaaS integrations, to business workflow automations, to building fintech products.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Growth team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. With growth being a top priority, your contributions will help us scale rapidly while maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality. You will leverage your technical expertise to make critical decisions, build robust systems, and deliver products that empower both the truck drivers on our platform and our internal teams.
Examples of projects that you may work on
Automated Onboarding Systems: Leverage LLMs to build a seamless, scalable onboarding flow that captures driver information, ingests driving history from third parties, and automates decisioning logic to get drivers on the road quickly and efficiently.
Driver Engagement and Rewards: Develop a flexible rewards platform that allows us to experiment with various campaigns to engage and reward drivers, ensuring sustained participation and loyalty.
KYC/KYB Automation: Implement automated KYC/KYB processes to facilitate fast onboarding while effectively filtering out bad actors.
Redesign the infrastructure of our Tier 1 integrations service to handle 100x the current load, with high performance, visibility, and resilience to failures.
Responsibilities
Design, test, ship, and maintain solutions to problems and products. Working across frontend and backend
Take complete ownership over projects and features. Work across a range of systems and technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions
Partner with cross functional teams to ensure a complete and delightful customer experience
Help set and improve our engineering processes, standards, and tooling.
Mentor other engineers and help them grow in their role
What we are looking for
Strong technical background including 4+ years of industry experience writing client-side Javascript
Experience building responsive layouts with React, HTML and CSS
Experience with frontend testing frameworks
Experience with API design and implementation
Self-motivated and comfortable operating across the stack in a dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership
Takes a user-focused approach, shipping incrementally with rapid iterations
Strong communication and collaboration skills. As a small engineering team, we work closely with each other and other cross functional teams across the company
Nice to haves
Experience with our technical stack: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Javascript, Typescript, React, Google Cloud
Experience with other modern web technologies (CSS preprocessors, CDNs, etc.)
