About the team/role

The Senior Account Executive, Checkr Pay will be responsible for securing rapid and continued growth for Checkr Pay, an instant payments solution for flexible workforces.

This person will report to the Head of Sales, Checkr Pay, partnering closely with Sam Sorbo. Pay is a bold, ambitious bet that is separate from Checkr’s background check business, and we will need to harness agility and speed in the face of ambiguity to be successful. With limited go-to-market support, the right candidate will need to get extremely hands-on to create whatever solutions are needed to drive success.

This person will also be charged with developing & establishing strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders across product, marketing, and revenue operations teams, as well as with external business partners, refining sales processes & strategy, identifying & securing new business opportunities and growing & managing existing business.

What you’ll do

  • You will build a GTM strategy for your territory, constantly experimenting, pivoting and have a resiliency regardless of the obstacles faced.
  • Engage payments and product professionals to pursue and close new business within your target verticals
  • Use creativity for pipeline generation, finding your customers where they are
  • Handle inbound leads that come through our demand generation and channel partners
  • You will consistently achieve revenue targets by applying modern sales techniques and processes to efficiently manage sales opportunities through your funnel to a successful close
  • You will use your creativity and tenacity to develop and improve how we target and penetrate new vertical markets
  • As part of the Checkr Pay team, you will contribute directly to the success and growth of Checkr

What you bring

  • 5-7+ years of full-cycle sales experience in a hunting role or a founding role of a fast paced technology company
  • Ownership mentality within all aspects of your work
  • Demonstrable track record of above target performance, especially in a startup environment
  • Experience selling a first-to-market solution is preferred
  • Experience selling six figure deals is encouraged
  • You learn quickly and are excited to take on challenging new projects
  • You are smart, self-motivated, organized, inquisitive, detail and process oriented

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The on-target earnings for this role is $248,515 to $336,226 in San Francisco, CA.
