Cellino is building a precision platform that personalizes human cells for all. Stem cell-derived regenerative medicines are poised to cure some of the toughest diseases within this decade, including Parkinson’s, diabetes, and heart disease. Patient-specific cells provide the safest, most effective cures for these indications. Currently, large scale production of stem cell therapies is challenging due to extensive manual handling, high variability, and expensive manufacturing costs. Cellino’s vision is to enable healthier lives worldwide with personalized human cells.
The Role
Cellino is building an advanced biomanufacturing technology to scale production of personalized regenerative medicines, with a unique focus on autologous iPSC-based therapies. The goals of Cellino’s product team are to advance the field of autologous iSPC-based cell therapies through internal and external efforts, and use a deep, up-to-date understanding of the industry to guide the development of Cellino’s advanced biomanufacturing technology and relevant therapeutic programs. The role of Therapeutic Pipeline Associate will play a critical role on the product team, and report to the Chief Product Officer.
Responsibilities
- Therapeutic product pipeline development. Work with the product team to develop frameworks for potential therapeutic programs, including assessments of disease indication, clinical development plans, commercial opportunity, product development plans, manufacturing strategy, and other strategic considerations.
- Market analysis. Develop comprehensive analyses for potential new therapeutic applications, including market potential based on patient population size and disease severity, pricing strategies in relation to quality of life and total cost of care, and TAM/SAM frameworks for each indication.
- Financial modeling. Lead NPV and financial modeling efforts for new therapeutic applications, manufacturing capacity investment, cost of goods modeling, pricing strategies, and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Market adoption factors. Evaluate factors that enable assessment of market attractiveness, barriers to entry (including physician or surgeon training), patient experience and likelihood of adoption, regulatory and reimbursement paradigms, and patient advocacy group effects.
- Enable integration of competitive knowledge into overall strategy. Establish process for maintaining a database of competitive intelligence related to the autologous iSPC-based cell therapy space, including alternative therapeutics modalities and relevant platform technologies, and market trends that are key to product development. Craft reports and present insights, strategic implications, and recommendations for internal team across a range of communication methods (slack, presentations, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Masters, or Advanced degree in biological or life sciences-related field. MBA strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated financial modeling and competitive intelligence experience in biotech, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors; data visualization capabilities of benefit.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; proficiency presenting complex information and analyses at multiple levels.
- Self-motivated and passionate about the potential for personalized regenerative medicine.
Preferred Skills and Background
- Knowledge of personalized regenerative medicine ecosystem ideal.
- Professional consulting experience highly valued
