Title: AVP - Analyst

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007

Duties: Responsible for analyzing Structured Finance transactions. Responsible for the analysis of the credit aspects of Structured Finance securitizations, ranging from simple to more complex transactions. Perform in-depth analysis of the underlying assets, transaction structure, legal documents, deal-level financial modeling using Moody’s in-house models, Excel or other models and statistical packages to formulate and substantiate independent credit opinions. Responsible for staying current with industry conditions and trends, presenting transactions to rating committees, communicating analysis during internal meetings, writing accurate and relevant credit research, participating in external outreach, actively contributing to fostering Moody’s values, and guiding junior analysts in the aforementioned activities. Lead various efficiency improvement projects, special research projects, develop in-depth knowledge of the Structured Finance sector and pursue thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics, outreach and research impact.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field plus three (3) years of experience as an Analyst, Financial Engineer or related position conducting quantitative analysis and developing financial models. Must have experience with the following: financial markets, quantitative statistics, and applied probability; Structured finance securities and cashflow models; performing credit analysis and coding in languages such as SQL; Microsoft Excel to perform scenario analysis and create reports and dashboards using pivots and Macros and performing financial data analysis.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,778 to $236,800/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
