Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 8-10 years in commercial real estate, credit risk, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a CRE product strategy role or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in product strategy and execution for CRE or related markets.
  • Strong understanding of CRE market dynamics, valuation methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools—such as Copilot and ChatGPT—can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.
  • Interest in exploring agentic AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead product strategy and growth initiatives for CRE solutions, acting as the subject-matter expert for commercial real estate markets.

  • Strategic Leadership: Independently lead efforts to stay on top of CRE market and business trends, define client personas and workflows, conduct market research, gather competitive intelligence, and size markets to identify growth opportunities.
  • Industry Expertise: Serve as the CRE subject matter expert for cross-functional teams, deeply understanding financial professionals’ workflows and Moody’s content/capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive product initiatives through effective collaboration with product management, data strategy, go-to-market, sales, and data/content sourcing teams.
  • Performance Management: Establish KPIs and targeted outcomes to validate and refine strategic direction.
  • Ownership: Act as business owner of CRE products, including developing growth targets and forecasts, business plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Client Engagement: Support client and sales inquiries with the objective of growing and maintaining the CRE book of business.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build network of internal stakeholders and partner to design and deliver solutions.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $171,100.00 - $246,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
