Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of finance, capital markets, and financial data or credit analysis. We value curious problem solvers who love learning, working with others, and continuously honing their skills.
  • Interact with lead and support analysts to resolve complex issues
  • Interact with other team managers to resolve/ clarify straightforward issues
  • Manage more than one project independently
  • Strong SQL skills and extensive data management experience are essential. Proficiency in handling large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and applying best practices in data analysis, metadata management, and quality control is critical.
  • Basic knowledge of AI concepts and a proactive interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance operations and efficiency are expected. A commitment to learning about responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical application, is important.
  • Proficiency in SQL query writing within a relational database environment an added advantage
  • Experience with data science and analytics tools like Python, Power BI, and LC/NC is advantageous.

Education

  • Master’s in finance, Economics, Business/Accounting
  • Relevant experience of minimum 3+ years in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation, and managing projects independently; experience in structured finance will be an added advantage
  • Strong organizational skills, dependable and able to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach. Examples of work include:Projects & Processes: Work on financial data, research, and analytical outreach projects, driving process re-engineering, efficiency improvements, and resolution of complex/non-standard outputs. Serve as a Process Owner for one or more Analytic Data Operations processes.
  • Business as Usual (BAU) Delivery: Responsible for end-to-end delivery of select BAU tasks such as complex data, research, and data processing for use in models. Produce valuable inputs into the rating and research process, including Moody's adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts and graphs. Complete simple deliverables such as newsletters, database maintenance, more complex or other ad-hoc support. Undertake initial reviews or quality assessments of other team members work for select complex tasks.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Independently manage stakeholder communication for accurate, timely outputs. Work directly with ratings analyst to understand data capture requirements, adjustments and other information needed by the rating team for ratings and research
    Continuous Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies using advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, propose data-backed solutions, and implement intelligent process enhancements leveraging automation, machine learning, and agentic AI to optimize performance and scalability.

About the team

Our Ratings & Operations Control (ROC) team is responsible for 1) analytic data capture and enrichment, inputs and outputs to support ratings & research, 2) ratings transaction setup and release and rating desk services, 3) regulatory processes and operational controls, 4) product management for regulatory website, 5) center of excellence for process improvement and 6) project management support.
