Skills and Competencies
- 3-6 years of proven technology experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure; Experience working with AWS CloudFormation, RDS, EC2, IAM and corresponding Azure services.
- Proficient in version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
- Strong skills in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
- Familiarity with for monitoring, alerting, and logging. Experience with tools like AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or equivalent.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud and DevOps environments.
- Experience of security tools and integrating DevSecOps practices into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent testing.
- Understanding of secure infrastructure practices, identity and access management, and encryption.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of effective teamwork.
- Proficiency in Groovy, Perl and JavaScript is a plus.
- Good understanding of artificial intelligence, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve DevOps processes and drive efficiency.
Education
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.
Responsibilities
As the DevOps Engineer within the Asset Management technology teams, you will collaborate with global colleagues to develop and enhance our leading products in the Structured Finance area. In this role, you will play a key part in owning the infrastructure, deployments and provide solutions that address complex challenges faced by clients in the fixed income finance sector.
- Develop, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and rigorous testing processes, utilising tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for cloud environments including AWS and Azure, using Terraform/CloudWatch.
- Work closely with software development teams to facilitate seamless integration and delivery of applications, ensuring the deployment pipeline is efficient and reliable.
- Contribute to managing containerised workloads and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/ EKS.
- Take responsibility for maintaining infrastructure security, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and optimising costs across cloud resources.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues proactively to maintain system stability and performance.
- Create and maintain clear documentation of infrastructure designs, workflows, and operational procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Support the deployment and scaling of AI-powered solutions within cloud environments, contributing to robust and future-ready operations.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and best practices.
