Skills and Competencies
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multiple teams across different geographic locations
  • Subject matter expertise in data quality, remediation, and enrichment within large-scale databases
  • Ability to balance strategic, big-picture thinking with detailed operational execution
  • Proven experience collaborating across functions and datasets to drive consistency and operational excellence
  • Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational issues, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Experience with data quality assurance, validation rules, and governance standards
  • Comfort leveraging technology and analytics tools such as Databricks and Power BI for reporting and insights
  • Demonstrated interest in automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies including Gen AI tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Management, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
Responsibilities
The Associate Director – Data Specialist provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple teams responsible for improving the quality, completeness, and consistency of Moody’s databases while ensuring alignment with governance standards and business objectives.
  • Lead and support multiple teams across geographies, providing direction, escalation support, and leadership coverage
  • Act as a subject matter expert for complex data quality, remediation, and enrichment issues
  • Drive a technology-driven, innovative mindset across strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations
  • Serve as a leadership bridge between Directors and Assistant Directors, ensuring alignment and continuity
  • Oversee end-to-end data remediation and enrichment to resolve incomplete, inconsistent, or duplicate entity data
  • Ensure all validated and enriched data meets defined quality standards and governance requirements
  • Manage project delivery, including timelines, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor, measure, and report operational performance, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead quality assurance activities, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Engineering) to support business objectives and customer use cases
