Partnerships ManagementThe Partnerships Management team owns and manages critical relationships with regulators and donors, including individual and corporate organizations providing sponsorship and scholarships, ensuring a sustained movement to transform the lives of millions of children through education. We lead pioneering efforts to revitalise delivery of education across the world and engage with visionary political and government leadership to help shape policy, strengthen delivery and impact complex education systems through partnerships. We also engage with other dynamic influencers (NGO, donors, think-tanks and academicians) to unlock new ways of partnering to make high-quality education accessible to every child in underserved communities. We ensure close collaboration, communication, and engagement with our parents and donors to ensure we deliver on the promise of our program, and that the parents and donors sees solutions coming to the fore, and is participating in the work and recognizes the impact taking place.About the RoleThe Fundraising Manager holds a critically important role at Bridge as the executive driving our fundraising efforts with various donors for the Programmes. S/he will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that inspires supporters and fuel our mission to ensure long-term sustainability of our programmes. You will be at the helm of our multi-channel fundraising, from conceptualizing impactful donor journeys to building campaigns that increase donor revenue and deepen supporter engagement. You’ll make a measurable impact by growing an important revenue stream while optimizing every touchpoint along the way. The Manager, Fundraising and Resource Mobilization will report directly to the Group Managing Director and is a core member of the leadership team. This is a hybrid role located in Nairobi, Kenya.What You Will Do- Fundraising Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals. Identify and create new revenue opportunities to diversify funding sources across bilateral, multilateral, foundation, corporate and individual donors to achieve annual revenue targets.- Grant Writing & Proposal Development: Research funding opportunities and lead the preparation and submission of grant applications and proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational objectives.- Donor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, corporate partners, and individual contributors, ensuring regular communication and engagement to build long-term partnerships.- Event Management: Organize and execute donor engagement activities, including fundraising campaigns and events, academy visits and community awareness initiatives.- Reporting: Track fundraising progress, maintain donor records, grant timelines, reporting schedules and provide accurate reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.- Compliance: Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising standards.- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Communications, Academics and other internal partners and leadership to secure financial donations, ensure alignment with Bridge’s mission and objectives and align fundraising initiatives with organizational priorities.- Budget Management: Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.- Data management: Analyze and report on fundraising metrics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.What You Should Have- At least 5 years experience in fundraising or grant management, with a proven track record of securing significant funding from multilateral, bilateral, foundation and corporate donors.- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, International Studies, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.- Strong knowledge of donor landscapes in developing economies.- Excellent grant writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives.- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.- Event planning and project management experience.- Experience with tracking and data analysis tools.- Familiarity with online fundraising platforms and digital campaign strategies is a plus.- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.- Passion and deep commitment for the organization’s mission and values.You’re also- A detailed doer – Organized, responsive, and able to execute ideas to a fine level of detail.- A creative problem-solver – Flexible and effective in low-resource, complex environments.- A relentless advocate – Every decision considers the benefit and experience of the children and teachers we serve.- A malleable learner – Open to feedback and continuous improvement.- A data-driven decision-maker – Decisions backed by data and clear justifications.- A curious investigator – Ask why, challenge assumptions, and seek better ways.Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
