With Core Lightning and Greenlight we are revolutionizing the way users interact with the Lightning Network by making it more accessible, secure, and user-friendly. Our mission is to empower developers and users to harness the full potential of Bitcoin and Lightning through scalable, cutting-edge solutions. Our teams include some of the world’s top engineers in the Bitcoin and Lightning ecosystem, and we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with this technology.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team and help drive the success of both Greenlight and the Core Lightning projects. If you’re passionate about Bitcoin, have experience in project management, and are ready to tackle exciting new challenges, we’d love to meet you.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be the backbone of coordination between the Core Lightning and Greenlight teams. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the teams’ priorities, advocating for users, and ensuring that the development pipeline is aligned with the company's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with our team of highly-skilled engineers and play a critical role in expanding the team as we take on more ambitious projects. You will be instrumental in guiding our project lifecycles, making sure we meet our goals efficiently and effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

  • Project Coordination: Work with the Core Lightning and Greenlight teams to manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Foster seamless communication between internal teams and ensure that both projects are aligned in vision and strategy.
  • Priority Management: Act as a facilitator to ensure that critical features and developments are prioritized according to user needs and company objectives.
  • User Advocacy: Be a vocal advocate for users of both products, translating their needs into actionable tasks and ensuring their feedback is incorporated into the development process.
  • Team Expansion: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and integrating new engineering talent to expand the team in preparation for upcoming challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and concise project updates to stakeholders, including timelines, risks, and deliverables.

What We Look For In You (Required Qualifications):

  • An organized mind. Our engineers have the expertise, you need to guide the priorities, remind us of our commitments and keep track of what is remaining.
  • Enthusiasm for Bitcoin and the Lightning Network is required; while you don’t need to be an expert, you should understand the basics of these technologies.
  • Experience in sharing the wins of a technical team, both senior and junior.

Nice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • An understanding of the dynamics and challenges of contributing to open-source communities and projects.
  • Direct experience managing projects related to blockchain, Bitcoin, or Lightning development is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Remote-First: The flexibility to work from anywhere in the world.
  • Competitive Salary: Compensation that reflects your experience and expertise.
  • Cutting-Edge Challenges: Work on projects that are at the forefront of Bitcoin and Lightning innovation.
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a team of top-tier engineers all passionate about making a difference in the Bitcoin space.
  • Growth Opportunities: Be part of an expanding team with opportunities for professional development.
