Job Summary:

The Product Team is seeking a driven and insightful Product Development Lead to help lead the definition of a marquis product line for Berkshire Grey. The Product Development Lead will directly work with R&D and Sales on advanced AI driven robotic picking solutions for warehouses. This role will analyze market data, competition, customer feedback, sales requests and technical breakthroughs to define future products, feature sets and offering. The role is hands-on and will include both sales calls with customers and brainstorming sessions with R&D. Success in this role requires powerful communication and deliver methods to build consensus.

Location:

Preferred Bedford, MA headquarters or Atlanta, GA, with some hybrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering product requirements
    • Join sales on customer calls to define the value in warehouse settings.
    • Complete competitive analysis on performance criteria and commercials.
    • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of product parameters and features.
  • Developing and updating the product roadmap
    • Match customer requirements with technology to create Product Roadmap.
    • Lead brainstorming sessions with both Sales and R&D.
    • Lead the Product Roadmap for both technical and commercial topics.
  • Executing on delivery of the Product Roadmap
    • Turn Product Roadmap items into concise action items.
    • Be the passion to lead Product updates for increase customer value and commercial success.
    • Deliver business results by driving technical and commercial improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Economics or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Powerful verbal delivery and public speaking.
  • 5+ years of experience with warehouse logistics, automation or industrial robotics.
  • Experience working on teams bringing products to market or a start-up.
  • Patent(s) or novel solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training, MBA or minor in Product Development or Product Management.
  • 5+ years work in the industrial product sector.
  • Customer facing sales or sales support experience
  • Expert knowledge of warehouse operations or industrial robotics.
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Robotic manipulation
    • Sortation and conveyor
    • Vision systems and sensors
  • Feasibility and trade studies
  • Customer feedback studies and panels
  • Financial modeling and Return-on-Investment models
  • Entrepreneurial or early-stage company experience
  • Data analysis using Python
  • Professional presentation and collateral creation

Ability to travel 10%+ within the US and Europe
