Job Responsibilities:
The Tech Ops Senior Software Engineer will be a member of a cross-functional team and will work together with engineering and field operations to develop strategies to test, diagnose, and drive continuous improvement into products and processes. Responsibilities include:

- Operate autonomously and provide technical leadership on key projects;
- Mentor junior team members;
- Independently develop and manage software architecture;
- Provide expertise in material handling (picking, sorting, etc.), ecommerce fulfillment, and logistics industry solutions;
- Design and productize real robot solutions (including coordinated closed loop motion and custom computer vision solutions with AI capabilities);
- Integrate new applications into existing ROS framework;
- Develop drivers for peripherals such as industrial motors, network switches, etc.;
- Develop Machine Learning models using production data;
- Envision, Design, and Develop robust data collection and analysis processes in support of Quality Management System;
- Document procedures, test cases, running tests, data collection, and system troubleshooting guides;
- Perform commissioning of large industrial systems including hands on troubleshooting of hardware; and
- Work through ambiguity or unplanned issues to achieve required results.
Travel Requirement: 5% Domestic Travel and 5% International Travel Required Per Year
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
Employer requires a master’s degree in Robotics Engineering or a closely related field and at least three (3) years of work experience as a software engineer in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Additionally, the successful candidate must have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of functional, imperative, and object-oriented languages including Python and C++ gained through at least three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability with ROS, RViz, OpenCV, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Linux (Ubuntu), and VCS (Git) gained through at least three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial components including JVL motors, ABB Robots, SICK, Banner, and Leuze sensors, gained through at least three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial protocols including TCI-IP Communications, RS485, AS-i, Profinet, EthernetIP, and IO-Link gained through at least three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability deploying software via Docker and Kubernetes gained through at least three (3) years of work experience; and
- Demonstrated ability setting up, commissioning, and running capital equipment including Final Acceptance Testing gained through at least three (3) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
