About Basis

Basis builds real agents that do real work in the real economy. Our agents operate for hours at a time, performing end-to-end work for some of the largest accounting firms in the world.

We recently raised $100M at >$1B valuation and are racing to deploy the most advanced applied ML at production scale.

Our investors include: Khosla Ventures (Keith Rabois & Vinod Khosla), Accel (Miles Clements), Google Ventures, Nat Friedman & Daniel Gross, Adam D'Angelo, Jeff Dean, Jack Altman, Noam Brown, Kyle Vogt, Amjad Masad, Clem Delangue and many other operators/technical leaders.

"Basis is on the frontier of building production-grade, long-horizon agents. They've pushed the limits of what we thought our models could do on real-world, economically valuable, complex accounting tasks. They've been a great collaborator in helping us shape what the future of agents looks like." — Prashant Mital, Applied AI Lead, OpenAI

📍 Location: NYC, Flatiron office. In-person team.

We’re looking for a technical systems architect to own our GTM systems end-to-end—and every system that connects to it. This is a greenfield build: you’ll design the architecture, make the platform decisions, and own the stack from day one through day 1000. You’ll work directly alongside the Head of Sales and the founding RevOps hire, operating cross-functionally to make sure the systems we build serve the company at every stage of growth.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the CRM platform end-to-end: Architecture, data model, automation, user experience, and ongoing evolution. If it lives in or connects to the CRM, it’s yours.

  • Design the integration layer: Connect the CRM to the full revenue stack—marketing automation, financial systems, data warehouse, and support tooling. Own the data contracts, field mapping, and sync logic across all of it.

  • Build for the full revenue cycle: Design end-to-end workflows spanning systems—from first touch through closed-won, onboarding, and renewal. Clean data handoffs at every stage, no manual bridges.

  • Embed AI natively: Build AI-powered workflows for enrichment, scoring, pipeline visibility, and rep productivity. Evaluate and integrate tools like Clay, Gong, and Apollo into a coherent, non-redundant stack.

  • Partner with senior leadership: Translate business requirements from the founders, the Head of Sales, and the founding RevOps hire into architecture decisions. Own the systems roadmap and bring a clear point of view on build vs. buy.

What you’ll bring:

  • 6–10 years in roles such as CRM Architect, Systems Architect, Integration Architect, or Revenue Operations Architect—with clear ownership of platform decisions, not just execution

  • Deep, hands-on CRM expertise: data model, automation, configuration, and the platform internals that separate architects from administrators

  • Proven track record building and owning integrations between a CRM and downstream systems—financial platforms, data warehouses, marketing automation, or support tooling

  • Technical depth to evaluate architecture trade-offs, make platform decisions, and hold vendors accountable—without delegating the details

  • High agency, low ego—identifies what needs to happen, drives it cross-functionally, and makes it happen

What we’d love to see:

  • Experience building a GTM stack from scratch at a Series A–C company

  • Hands-on experience with AI or LLM tooling embedded in business workflows

  • Prior exposure to B2B SaaS, fintech, or professional services revenue motions

  • Salesforce or CRM certifications

What success looks like in this role:

  • Platform owner: The CRM is the system of record for the revenue org—clean, trusted, and built to last.

  • Connected stack: Every system in the revenue cycle is integrated. Data flows from first touch to renewal without manual intervention.

  • Leadership partner: The Head of Sales and founding RevOps hire rely on you from day one through day 1000. You’re in the room when architecture decisions get made.

  • Scalable foundation: The architecture you design on day one supports 10x growth. It gets extended, not rebuilt.

  • All-in: Driven to build something foundational and commit deeply to Basis’s success.
