Role Overview

You will work as part of an analytical a team to produce analysis that is timely, accurate, insightful, actionable, and closely matched to our clients’ needs. You will work with more senior analyst to define the brief and objectives for the analysis, then work through the project including manipulation, analysis and validation of data, and development of client deliverables. Work closely with SAI’s consultants and other stakeholders and will actively present the outcomes and update the project status with the client team.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting analysis on transactional and loyalty card data through R, Python, SQL, Excel and other tools as required
  • Translate high level analytical requirements into specific analysis steps and plans
  • Applying statistical or modelling approaches as required
  • Distils key insights from customer data that address the objectives of the analysis and prepare client-ready and well-structured presentations that deliver these insights effectively with supports from the senior member in the team
  • Supporting in delivering solutions, not just providing facts and data
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve and or/address the business question asked
  • Present the results of your analysis to the client as required.
  • Managing your work, both in time terms, and in efficient use of SAI systems, including management of server space
  • Take responsibility for resolution of issues and problems
  • Innovates and suggest new ideas where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with other global colleagues to support the deliverables of Symphony SAI’s analytical solutions to client

Requirements

  • Data manipulation (1.5+ years): analysing large volumes of data and a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required
  • Technical (1.5+ years): Experience of using a statistical package (such as R or Python), SQL is essential
  • Project Planning: capable of planning and managing your own time to ensure your components of projects are delivered to deadlines without compromising on the quality
  • Basic statistics and data science: familiarity with average, deviations, correlation, regression and machine learning technique is expected as a minimum
  • Oral communication: can explain analytical work in a logical way which can be understood by a non-analytical audience (in both Thai and English)
  • Written communication: creating of clear, concise and actionable materials for the client (in both Thai and English)
  • MS Office: high proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of MS PowerBI, DAX, and M-Language is a plus

General Qualifications and Skills

  • Educated at least to graduate level / Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Familiarity with retail, and particularly supermarket retail data would be beneficial
  • Innovative and able to develop new analytical solutions to business problems.
  • Fluent in both Thai and English; for both oral and written communication
  • Familiarilty with retailer business in Europe / Asia a big plus
  • Familiarity with the loyalty / CRM programs a big plus
