Role Overview
SymphonyAI is seeking a high-impact FP&A manager (Individual Contributor role) based in India to support global financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across multiple business verticals. This role partners closely with the Director of FP&A and collaborates with Finance leadership, HR, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
Operating within a fast-scaling, AI-first organization, this individual will bring financial discipline, enable data-driven decisions, and help standardize planning and reporting across a complex, multi-entity environment shaped by acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
Global Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Support and drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across assigned business units.
- Partner with global stakeholders to align financial plans with company targets.
- Lead headcount planning and workforce cost modeling in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition.
Business Partnership
- Act as a finance partner to business leaders across geographies.
- Provide financial insights, scenario modeling, and investment analysis to support decision-making.
- Track performance across revenue, cost, and margin.
Headcount and Hiring Financial Governance
- Own financial tracking of open roles, including budget validation, approvals, and alignment with hiring plans.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure disciplined hiring against approved budgets.
- Support governance and rollout of Budget ID tracking across systems.
Reporting and Analytics
- Build and maintain global dashboards and reports covering financial performance, hiring trends, and operational metrics.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to the Director of FP&A and senior leadership.
- Translate data into clear and actionable insights.
Process Optimization and Systems
- Drive standardization of FP&A processes across verticals and regions.
- Partner with Finance Systems and HR Systems teams to improve integration across ATS, HRIS, and financial systems.
- Support automation initiatives to reduce manual reporting and improve accuracy.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement, HR, and TA on vendor spend, contractor management, and workforce planning.
- Support financial governance including purchase orders, approvals, and cost center alignment.
- Enable a consistent and scalable global operating model.
Qualifications
- 8 to 12 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
- Experience supporting global organizations across North America, EMEA, and APAC
- Strong experience in headcount planning and operating expense management
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes
- Experience in high growth SaaS or technology environments preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools such as Workday, Adaptive, or Anaplan is a plus
- Experience working in a multi entity or post acquisition environment preferred
