Join SymphonyAI as the Senior Director, North America Sales – Retail/CPG and lead a high-impact regional team focused on driving growth across top retailers and CPG brands. Reporting to the VP, North America Sales, you will own execution of our go-to-market strategy in the region, develop and coach a team of sellers, and close complex, multi-solution SaaS deals. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at building pipeline, mentoring talent, and expanding enterprise relationships.
Job Description
What you will do:
- Own and execute the North America sales plan for Retail/CPG, delivering against new ARR and expansion targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–6 enterprise account executives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive disciplined pipeline generation and management in partnership with marketing and SDRs; ensure accurate forecasting and operational rigor in Salesforce.
- Engage senior stakeholders (VP- and C-level) with a consultative, value-based approach to position SymphonyAI solutions, including CINDE Connected Retail and Price Suite.
- Guide complex, multi-solution sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and close, ensuring clear business cases and value realization.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, customer success, and solutions consulting to deliver compelling proposals and outstanding customer experiences.
- Lead account planning and territory planning to expand footprint within strategic accounts and identified target logos.
- Collaborate with alliances and channel partners to amplify reach and accelerate deal velocity.
- Recruit, onboard, and upskill sales talent; model best practices in prospecting, qualification, and executive engagement.
What You'll Bring:
- Consistent success selling enterprise SaaS, ideally to Retail and/or CPG organizations, with a track record of closing complex six- and seven-figure deals.
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executive stakeholders using consultative, solution-based sales methodologies.
- 3+ years of front-line leadership managing enterprise AEs, with proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top performers.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build business cases, navigate complex buying groups, and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, executive presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally to remove obstacles and accelerate deal cycles.
- Established relationships in the Retail/CPG ecosystem are a plus.
- 8–10+ years of enterprise software/SaaS sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industry dynamics, challenges, and solution landscapes.
- Proficiency with modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger) and CRM/forecasting best practices (e.g., Salesforce).
- Prior experience in a top-tier consulting environment (e.g., Accenture) is a plus, not required.
Willingness to travel across North America to meet customers and support team needs.
