Introduction

SymphonyAI Retail CPG is a leading provider of advanced AI-driven solutions and services specifically designed for the retail industry. We empower retailers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies with innovative technology to enhance their operations, optimise decision-making, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

SymphonyAI Retail CPG is accelerating the adoption of CINDE, our AI-powered retail decisioning and copilot products, across leading grocery retailers. We are seeking a transformational Vice President of Growth to own and scale new revenue for CINDE in Europe, leading a high-performing team focused on “big whale” enterprise pursuits while shaping strategy, partnerships, and product-market fit. This executive will hold a team quota, build C-level relationships, and orchestrate multi-year, outcome-based transformations that deliver measurable value for grocers.

Job Description

What you will do

· Own the European growth strategy for CINDE across top-tier grocery retailers, from market segmentation and ICP definition to account prioritisation and multi-year pursuit plans.

· Hold and deliver a team quota for net-new and expansion ACV/TCV; establish rigorous pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and inspection cadence.

· Lead, coach, and scale a senior enterprise team (AEs, solution consultants, value engineers, SDRs) across multiple countries; recruit top talent, set performance standards, and create a winning culture.

· Drive complex, multi-threaded “whale” pursuits at C-, SVP-, and board levels; develop executive trust with CEOs, CIOs, Chief Merchandising/Commercial, Supply Chain, Digital, and Finance leaders.

· Champion outcome-based value selling; build business cases and financial models that quantify impact (e.g., on-shelf availability, waste reduction, margin and promo uplift, demand forecast accuracy, labour productivity).

· Structure and negotiate enterprise agreements, pilots-to-scale programs, and multi-product deals; navigate security, privacy, and procurement processes aligned to European norms (including GDPR).

· Partner closely with Product and the GM/CRO to inform CINDE roadmap, packaging, and pricing for grocery; incubate new capabilities and sales plays, and guide early adopter programs.

· Orchestrate cross-functional execution with marketing, customer success, delivery, data science, and support to ensure successful implementations and rapid pilot-to-production conversion.

· Build and leverage strategic alliances and co-sell motions with hyperscalers and global/regional SIs/consultancies; secure marketplace listings, MDF/funding, and joint demand generation.

· Act as a visible market evangelist: contribute thought leadership, speak at industry forums, and develop executive POVs and case studies that elevate our brand in Western Europe.

· Embed best-practice methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC/Challenger) for account planning, qualification, and deal governance; drive disciplined deal reviews and executive call planning.

· Ensure customer value realization and executive sponsorship post-sale; influence expansion and renewal strategies to increase NRR.

What you will bring

· 12+ years of enterprise software/SaaS growth or sales leadership with a focus on AI, analytics, or data-driven solutions; at least 5 years selling into grocery retail in Europe.

· Demonstrated success leading teams to close seven- and eight-figure, multi-year transformation deals with top-tier retailers; consistent overachievement against team quotas.

· Deep, current C-level network within European grocery retailers and the ability to initiate and sustain board-level dialogue.

· Mastery of value-based, outcome-led selling and enterprise deal orchestration; expert in executive negotiation and complex contracting.

· Strong domain knowledge across grocery retail functions such as merchandising and category management, pricing and promotions, supply chain and availability, store operations, and e-commerce.

· Fluency in articulating AI/ML and enterprise data platform concepts in business terms; experience selling decisioning, copilot, or advanced analytics products is a strong plus.

· Proven track record building and scaling high-performing, geographically distributed teams.

· Experience activating cloud and SI/consulting partner ecosystems and navigating cloud marketplaces and co-sell programs.

· High financial and analytical acumen (TCO, ROI, P&L impact); disciplined forecaster with pipeline hygiene and methodology rigor.

· Excellent communication and storytelling skills; executive presence with credible thought leadership.

· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

· English fluency required; additional European languages (e.g., German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish) are a plus.

· Ability to travel 50–70% across Europe.

How you will be measured

· Team quota attainment (new ACV/TCV) and net revenue retention.

· Pipeline coverage, quality, and velocity; enterprise win rates and cycle time.

· Number and quality of executive (C-/board-level) engagements in target accounts.

· Pilot-to-production conversion rates and time-to-value.

· Strategic alliance-influenced pipeline and revenue.

· Adoption of new CINDE capabilities and multi-product penetration in top accounts.

· Thought leadership outputs and brand impact in the region.
