Introduction

SymphonyAI is a PE-backed enterprise AI software company serving industrial, retail, financial services, and media clients globally. We operate across more than 20 countries with approximately 2,500 employees and circa $450M in revenue. We are in the midst of a significant transformation — building a leaner, higher-performing organization with world-class people practices at its core.

Our HR function is ~50 people strong and is undergoing its own transformation: new structure, new systems, and a new operating model. This role is being created to drive critical pieces of that agenda at pace.

The Head of HR Strategy & Enablement is a rare hybrid: part chief of staff to the CHRO, part internal communications lead, part process architect, part L&D practitioner. You will own the connective tissue of the HR function — ensuring that our strategy translates into communication, our processes run efficiently, our people are developed, and our CHRO is operating at his highest leverage.

You will work with a high degree of autonomy across all four pillars below, partnering closely with the CHRO and the HR leadership team to drive delivery.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. Chief of Staff to the CHRO

  • Manage the CHRO's priorities, agenda, and follow-through — ensuring the right things get done at the right time
  • Own the rhythm of the HR leadership team: biweekly HRLT meetings, quarterly planning, and board/Chairman preparation
  • Prepare and quality-assure executive-level materials including QBRs, Chairman meeting decks and Board HR updates
  • Track strategic commitments and surface blockers before they become problems

2. Internal Communications

  • Own SymphonyAI's HR internal communications strategy in close partnership with marketing
  • Draft all-hands communications, change management messaging, leader briefings, and CHRO announcements with precision and clarity
  • Build a communications calendar aligned to the HR transformation roadmap and the broader company operating rhythm
  • Coach HR leaders on effective communication with their teams; create templates and standards the whole function can use
  • Ensure consistency of tone, brand, and substance across all HR-originated communications

3. Process Management & Operational Excellence

  • Map, design, and continuously improve core HR processes — from onboarding to off-boarding, performance to compensation
  • Lead Lean / Six Sigma initiatives within the HR function, driving measurable efficiency and quality improvements
  • Own the HR operating model: governance cadences, decision rights, and cross-functional interface protocols
  • Build and maintain the HR data infrastructure: headcount dashboards, workforce analytics, and executive reporting in partnership with HR Operations
  • Champion and advocate for an AI-first, AI-fast approach across everything we do

4. Learning & Development

  • Assist the CHRO to design learning initiatives for people managers and leaders across the organization
  • In partnership with Head of HR Operations and IT, curate and deploy AI-enabled learning tools and platforms, making L&D faster, more personalized, and more scalable
  • Support the implementation of SymphonyAI's competency framework, 9-box talent process, and Management Principles
  • Measure the impact of L&D investment and iterate based on data

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Education

  • MBA from a leading business school strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree from a top institution

Experience

  • 8–12 years of total experience, including at least 2–3 years in a management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Big 4 advisory, or equivalent)
  • Some experience within or closely partnering with HR Meaningful experience in an HR generalist, HR business partner, or HR transformation role inside a global organisation
  • Exposure to a PE-backed or high-growth technology environment is a strong plus
  • Experience supporting a C-suite executive in a Chief of Staff or strategic advisor capacity
  • Track record of managing complex, multi-country programmes

Technical skills

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred) or equivalent process improvement qualification
  • Highly data-driven — on the cutting edge of AI advancements
  • Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools and a genuine enthusiasm for AI-enabled working
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint) — our core collaboration infrastructure
  • Experience with HR Technology a plus

Qualities

  • Exceptional written communicator — able to shift register from executive briefing to all-hands email
  • Highly organised with a systems mindset; comfortable building structure within ambiguity
  • Confident operating in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment with competing demands
  • Collaborative and politically savvy — able to influence without authority across BUs and geographies
  • Intellectually curious, proactive, and unafraid to challenge the status quo
