We are seeking a senior leader to own and accelerate SymphonyAI Retail’s growth across APAC. This hybrid role blends market strategy, subject matter expertise, and hands-on enterprise sales execution. The Head of APAC Strategy & Growth will define and drive the regional go-to-market plan, serve as the retail SME for customers, partners, and internal teams, and carry an individual sales quota for Australia, a priority market. You will partner closely with product, marketing, customer success, and alliances to win strategic logos, expand existing accounts, and shape our roadmap for APAC needs.


Job Description

What you will do

Strategy and Go-to-Market

  • Build and execute a multi-year APAC growth strategy spanning Australia/New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and North Asia, aligned to corporate objectives.
  • Segment the market and prioritise countries, sub-verticals (e.g., grocery, general merchandise, convenience, specialty), and use cases where SymphonyAI Retail has strongest fit.
  • Define and iterate regional pricing, packaging, and routes to market (direct and partner) to accelerate adoption.
  • Represent the APAC voice-of-customer to influence product roadmap and localisation.

Sales Leadership and Execution

  • Own an individual new business and expansion quota for Australia; drive full-cycle enterprise sales from prospecting to close, including multi-stakeholder executive engagement, solution mapping, value engineering, commercial negotiation, and deal orchestration.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline across APAC; forecast with rigor and deliver predictable results.
  • Lead strategic pursuits across the region as the executive sponsor/SME; enable and mentor field teams on deal strategy and retail value narratives.
  • Partner with alliances to activate a high-performing ecosystem (global SIs, regional integrators, and hyper-scalers) and develop joint plays that create pipeline and co-sell opportunities.

Subject Matter Expertise and Evangelism

  • Serve as the regional retail SME on topics such as demand forecasting, pricing and promotion, assortment and space, store operations, computer vision, customer and loyalty analytics, and retail media.
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership (C-level workshops, advisory sessions, conference presentations, whitepapers) to shape demand and elevate SymphonyAI’s brand in APAC.
  • Advise customers on transformation roadmaps, operating models, and change management to realize value from AI at scale.

Customer Value and Expansion

  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure value realization, renewals, and expansions; drive executive QBRs and roadmap alignment with strategic accounts.
  • Establish measurable business cases and success metrics tied to client P&L outcomes.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and design on localization and compliance needs for APAC.
  • Inform regional marketing plans and ABM programs; tailor content and references for priority markets.
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and enablement plans as the APAC team scales.

What you will bring

  • 12+ years of enterprise software experience in retail technology, including significant time in APAC and a track record of quota-carrying success with complex, multi-million-dollar SaaS or platform deals.
  • Deep retail domain expertise across one or more of grocery, mass/general merchandise, convenience, and specialty; able to engage credibly with C-level stakeholders (CEO, COO, Chief Digital, Chief Merchandising, Supply Chain, and IT leadership).
  • Proven ability to define and execute regional GTM strategies and to build pipeline through direct efforts and partner ecosystems.
  • Strong command of value-based, consultative selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger), with demonstrated success improving win rates and sales velocity.
  • Executive presence, storytelling, and facilitation skills; comfortable leading boardroom-level discussions and public forums.
  • Experience collaborating with product teams to influence roadmap and with customer success to ensure adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with applied AI/ML in retail and data platform concepts; able to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; additional Asian languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • APAC growth targets, including bookings, pipeline coverage, and strategic logo acquisition.
  • Win rates, sales cycle time, and forecast accuracy.
  • Net revenue retention and value realisation across APAC strategic accounts.
  • Thought leadership and market impact (executive engagements, speaking, content).
