We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Promotional Analytics Analyst to join our Client Success team. This position will sit on-site with one of our largest retail clients. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evaluating the effectiveness of our client’s promotional campaigns, identifying key insights, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize their promotional strategies. While the primary role is to evaluate promotions, this position may also be asked to support merchandise analytics as well. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with data tools, and the ability to communicate findings to cross-functional teams.


Job Description

What you will do:

  • Evaluate Client’s Promotional Effectiveness. Provide ongoing evaluation of promotional efforts through the analysis of promotional models and delivering insights that optimize promotional investments and drive business growth.
  • Drive Day-to-Day Promotional Analytics. Collaborate with client’s Marketing Analytics team on day-to-day promotional effectiveness activities such as develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key promotional metrics, interpretation of findings, insight delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Design Data-Driven Solutions. Work with client stakeholders to determine business needs and objectives, and then partner with the Symphony team to design, develop, and complete analytical processes and solutions that derive insights addressing client stakeholders' stated objectives.
  • Support Executive Engagement. Support the client Merchandise Analytics team on executive engagement materials and critical business needs, translating complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Tell the Story Behind the Data. Communicate complex concepts in a simple way, articulating findings that are not always straightforward or intuitive and telling the story of campaign performance to diverse audiences across the organization.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Analytics, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Proven Analytics Experience. 3-5 years of analytics experience with a strong foundation in data analysis, interpretation, and insight delivery that drives business decisions within Retail or CPG environment highly preferred.
  • Marketing Mix Modeling Expertise. Experience running Marketing Mix Models or other time series models, with the ability to develop, analyze, and derive actionable insights from analytical frameworks.
  • Technical Proficiency. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Working experience with SQL is required.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate findings that are not always straightforward or intuitive. Strong storytelling abilities to communicate complex concepts in a simple way and translate campaign performance into actionable insights.
  • Detail-Oriented with Strategic Focus. Great attention to detail, with the ability to dig deep into details while keeping focus on the primary business question at hand and maintaining perspective on broader business objectives.
  • Collaborative Mindset. High sense of integrity and respect for others, with experience working with cross-functional teams. Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
