Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to ensure high quality and reliability of our products. In this role, you will own test strategy and execution for assigned features, drive automation, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to enable confident, high-quality releases.
You will be involved early in the development lifecycle, help identify risks, and ensure issues are detected and addressed before reaching production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end testing for assigned features/modules, including functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Analyze requirements and designs to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
- Design, document, and execute test cases (manual and automated) with a strong focus on coverage and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain UI and API automation to improve test efficiency and reduce release cycles.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; continuously improve test stability and execution time.
- Analyze test failures, debug issues, and collaborate closely with developers to identify root causes.
- Actively participate in defect triage, prioritization, and release readiness discussions.
- Ensure clear and effective documentation of test cases, automation code, and test results.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and overall product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with strong hands-on experience in UI and API automation.
- Experience with modern automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, or similar programming/scripting languages.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Solid test design skills, including boundary testing, negative scenarios, and exploratory testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
