Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-driven and technically adept Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of our core machine learning and analytics platform. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in data science and traditional machine learning who is passionate about building enterprise-grade tools. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle for the platform that enables customers to build, evaluate, and deploy a wide range of predictive models and analytical solutions.
About the role:
- Build and maintain the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for our core ML platform, aligning with company OKRs and financial targets.
- Deeply understand the problems of data scientists and analysts through interviews, data analysis, and market research; translate insights into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to select or train the right models, balancing accuracy, safety, latency, cost, and time-to-market.
- Define success both for users (adoption, retention, NPS, ARR) and for models (precision/recall, bias, latency).
- Design the full evaluation pipeline—offline benchmarks, synthetic-data tests, human-in-the-loop reviews, and online A/B or shadow deployments—and iterate based on learnings.
- Instrument dashboards that track product KPIs and model-centric metrics in real-time; monitor for drift or degradation and coordinate retraining or rollback as needed.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear scope for each sprint and release while removing impediments that block delivery.
- Champion data governance, privacy, IP protection, and responsible-AI standards throughout the development process.
- Drive go-to-market readiness: craft demo narratives, create enablement materials, support documentation, and partner with sales on key deals.
- Foster a culture of design thinking, rapid experimentation, and continuous improvement within a cross-functional, globally distributed team.
About you:
- Experience with retailers, CPGs, or other data-rich verticals.
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving ML, bias mitigation, and explainability frameworks.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum, product discovery frameworks, and design-thinking methodologies.
- A strong track record of running statistically rigorous A/B experiments and interpreting results to drive roadmap decisions.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in product management, including 2+ years delivering ML- or AI-powered features.
- Working knowledge of the traditional ML lifecycle, MLOps tooling, and evaluation techniques.
- Proven ability to lead and influence engineers, designers, researchers, and GTM stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable translating between business and technical audiences.
