Vice President, Commercial Sales – Retail/CPG
Join SymphonyAI as the Vice President, Sales – Retail SaaS and lead our enterprise sales efforts in the Retail and CPG sectors. Reporting to the SVP, North America Sales, you will drive high-impact, transformative deals across top-tier organizations. This is a unique opportunity to guide a dynamic sales team, forge strategic relationships with C-suite executives, and accelerate SymphonyAI’s growth in the retail technology space.
As a team leader, you will oversee a group of experienced sellers managing complex, multi-solution opportunities across multiple accounts. You’ll be responsible for building strategic relationships, enabling cross-functional selling, and expanding our presence within some of the most recognized brands in the market.
What you will do
- Drive enterprise sales strategy, focusing on multiple retail accounts, ($1-2M) deals across Retail and CPG sectors.
- Engage and influence C-level executives using a tailored, consultative selling approach that aligns with client objectives and builds trusted long-term relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of 6-8 sales professionals, establishing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and achievement.
- Identify, develop, and close strategic sales opportunities by leveraging deep industry knowledge, market trends, and a proactive networking approach.
- Promote and sell flagship SymphonyAI offerings, including CINDE Connected Retail and Price Suite, to major enterprise customers, ensuring optimal solution fit and customer value realization.
- Strengthen SymphonyAI’s brand and presence by utilizing strong industry connections and executive gravitas to build lasting partnerships in the Retail and CPG ecosystems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and outstanding customer experiences.
What you will bring to SymphonyAI
- Demonstrated history of success in closing large-scale enterprise SaaS deals, preferably within the Retail and CPG sectors.
- Experience engaging, selling to, and influencing C-suite executives through consultative and solution-based sales techniques.
- Previous leadership of high-performing enterprise sales teams, with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top sales talent.
- Strong network and established relationships with key decision-makers in the Retail and CPG industries.
- Commercial acumen and business judgment to identify and pursue high-impact growth opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work seamlessly with other executive and functional leaders.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience in enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on software or SaaS solutions.
- Prior experience in a senior consulting role at Accenture or a comparable global consultancy strongly preferred.
- Deep domain knowledge of Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industries, with a clear understanding of industry challenges, trends, and solution landscapes.
- Demonstrated executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders.
- Expertise in solution selling methodologies and enterprise sales cycle management.
