SymphonyAI is redefining what’s possible in enterprise AI — and we’re looking for a bold, strategic communicator to help tell that story. As our Senior Manager, PR and Analyst Relations, you’ll own the programs that shape how the market sees us: from tier-one press to top analyst firms to the next breakout AI podcast. You’ll sit at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and influence — driving coverage, conversations, and credibility in the areas that matter most to our business.
This is not your typical PR role. We’re not chasing vanity metrics or passive mentions. We care about outcomes — the right narratives, in the right places, reaching the right people. If you're someone who blends creative storytelling with sharp strategic instincts, and you know how to work across a fast-paced, global org, read on.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
• Own our PR and AR programs end-to-end — from messaging to outreach to measurement — across multiple industries including retail, financial services, and industrial manufacturing.
• Proactively manage our PR agency — set the strategy, challenge lazy thinking, hold them accountable to meaningful results. You’re not forwarding pitches — you’re driving the playbook.
• Ghostwrite content for executives (bylines, op-eds, panel responses, fireside chat prep) that brings technical topics to life with clarity, relevance, and personality.
• Drive proactive media engagement that supports our core brand narrative: vertical AI that delivers real-world outcomes.
• Lead analyst engagement strategy with top firms like Gartner, Forrester, and IDC — ensuring SymphonyAI is positioned in the right reports and strategic conversations.
• Partner closely with the CMO, comms, and vertical marketing leads to align on what story we’re telling — and make sure we’re actually getting that story out into the market.
• Define success by narrative impact, not just volume — coverage that advances our positioning, analyst quotes that validate our strategy, and presence in the conversations that shape buying decisions.
• Support key launches and company moments — product announcements, partnerships, customer stories, executive changes — to maximize signal across channels.
What You Bring
• 7–10 years in PR, AR, or strategic communications roles — ideally in B2B tech, enterprise software, or AI.
• Experience working with or inside high-growth companies that operate globally.
• Strong relationships with top-tier tech media and/or analysts — and a record of getting their attention.
• A sharp editorial voice and ability to ghostwrite for executives with different styles.
• A proactive, self-directed approach — you’re not waiting for the story, you’re building it.
• Comfort working across a matrixed org with executives, product leaders, and marketers.
• Strategic instincts and a strong BS detector — you know what makes a good story, and you know when we’re off-message.
• A track record of actually changing perception, not just generating noise.
• Come with your favorite AI tools to help you move faster, write better, and think bigger — whether it’s for drafting, summarizing, or generating new campaign ideas.
• You use AI to accelerate, not just automate — from message testing to research to smart content creation.
Bonus Points
• Experience in vertical-specific AI, data platforms, or SaaS
• Worked at a company going through repositioning, rebrand, or breakout growth
• A passion for translating complex tech into plain English that actually resonates
This is a hybrid role based at our Palo Alto, CA headquarters, with three in-office days per week. However, we are open to considering remote candidates who demonstrate the qualifications and strengths we're seeking—especially those who meet the bonus criteria.
