Job Description
Join SymphonyAI Financial Services as a Software Engineer and work in our Financial Crime Prevention Product Engineering team. We develop innovative software and solutions for regulatory compliance, fraud, and financial crime detection, investigation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand all functional and non-functional requirements, translate these into a solid design and follow through with implementation, code review, and testing activities.
- Work towards frequent high-quality releases and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with other teams in design workshops.
- Take the initiative and assume ownership for tasks or problems.
Pre-requisites:
- First hand commercial experience in Typescript, Nest.js, and Node.js.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and REST API concepts.
- Some experience with continuous integration tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Some experience with source code management tools such as GitHub or Git/BitBucket.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle best practices (e.g., DDD, TDD, BDD).
- Some knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
Beneficial experience (not mandatory):
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with Python
- Understanding of cloud computing
- Familiarity with tools such as VSCode, IntelliJ, GitHub Actions, GitHub Codespaces
- Experience with Test Driven Development using Jest or Sourcelab
- Experience working with AWS/Azure/Cloud related tools and technologies
- Understanding of Hexagonal architecture and domain-driven design
- Familiarity with Object Relational Mappers: Prisma, TypeORM
- Experience with Jenkins
