Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-defined, transparent, and appropriately prioritized.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Work with Product Management Team: Collaborate effectively with the Product Management team to ensure alignment of product vision, strategy, and goals.
- Lead Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team is well-prepared and aligned.
- Financial Crime Domain Expertise: Leverage expertise in financial crime to develop features and functionality that address regulatory requirements and market needs.
- Drive Product Development: Guide and support the development team throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to delivery and iteration.
- Customer Focus: Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that the delivered product meets user needs and adds value.
- Measure and Report: Track product performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Support SAFe Practices: Contribute to the adoption and implementation of SAFe practices within the team and across the organization.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in Agile environments, with a focus on delivering software products.
- Industry Experience: prior experience working in FinTech, e.g. FinCrime, payments, banking or similar.
- SDLC Expertise: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and associated best practices.
- Agile Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and frameworks, with familiarity in SAFe being an advantage.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
- Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive product strategy and execution.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance diverse stakeholder needs.
- Team Collaboration: Proven experience working closely with a Product Management team to align on vision, strategy, and goals
- Customer Focus: A strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into effective product solutions.
- Certification: SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is highly preferred but not essential.
