We are seeking a skilled Software Test Performance Engineer specializing in performance testing for web-hosted, multi-modular commercial software. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of performance testing aspects such as load, throughput, and user concurrency.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Develop automated tests with a focus on performance testing in collaboration with senior performance testers/performance architects.
- Support the set-up of dedicated hosted environment(s) for a range of performance tests, including working with local Sensa NetReveal architects on the generation of appropriate volumes of test data.
- Execute iterative performance tests across combinations of Sensa NetReveal Product modules, with increasing volumes of test data.
- Analyze and interpret test results to assess the software's scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Conduct load testing, stress testing, and user concurrency simulations in partnership with senior performance testers/performance architects.
- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation that will assist development teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure the performance test process is built to be as automated and repeatable as possible.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, focusing on software test automation and performance testing.
- Familiarity in Java and experience with Selenium for test automation.
- Familiarity with a variety of performance testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
- Knowledge of web technologies and architecture.
- Ability to effectively report on the findings of each performance test run.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The following experience would be beneficial but is not mandatory:
- Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- The application of GenAi technologies to refine the test performance test execution process and deliver automated performance frameworks.
