We are seeking a visionary Solutions Architect with a passion for leveraging cloud-native technologies to combat financial crime. Your role will be at the forefront of designing secure, innovative SaaS solutions specifically tailored to the financial services industry's fight against fraud and financial crime. As an integral member of our Product Architecture team, you will not only influence our product development but also help safeguard the integrity of financial systems worldwide. Your involvement will not only drive the technological strategy and vision but also foster a highly collaborative environment with various internal teams.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Spearhead R&D projects from conception to evaluation.
- Craft and communicate our Technology Strategy and Vision.
- Set standards for design, development, and security, including essential training.
- Develop the Technology Roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with Product Teams: work closely with product managers to understand the market needs and regulatory requirements for FinCrime prevention. This partnership ensures the product roadmap aligns with these needs and that we are agile in adapting to new threats and regulations.
- Act as an SME: Serve as the go-to expert on product architecture and support capabilities, directly involving with development teams to ensure the architectural vision and standards are correctly implemented. This includes participating in Agile Scrum meetings, providing guidance on technical issues, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Share knowledge: Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical mentoring to empower development teams with the latest in cloud-native technologies, secure coding practices, and architectural patterns relevant to FinCrime prevention.
- Optimize processes: Lead the creation and documentation of architectural frameworks and decisions, driving process optimization. Work with support and managed services teams to ensure they are fully informed of the architectural decisions and have the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively support the FinCrime prevention solutions. This includes creating documentation and conducting training sessions focused on the unique requirements of maintaining security and compliance in financial services.
- Quality assurance: Define and uphold quality assurance practices that align with the stringent requirements of FinCrime prevention, ensuring that solutions are not only effective but also secure and compliant.
- Manage CI/CD: Manage CI/CD processes, and support managed services teams. Collaborate with DevOps to streamline CI/CD processes, emphasizing automation, monitoring, and quick iteration cycles, which are crucial for deploying updates in response to emerging financial crime trends and threats.
- Evaluate technology and assess risks: Conduct risk assessments and technical evaluations, embracing new technologies through proof of concept validations. Lead cross-team initiatives aimed at exploring new technologies or approaches that could enhance our FinCrime prevention capabilities. This involves setting up proof of concepts, engaging with external technology partners, and leveraging insights from across the organization to drive innovation.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven track record in cloud-native SaaS solutions design.
- Expertise in SOLID design principles, DDD, event-driven architectures, and microservices development.
- Proficiency in evaluating technology options and advocating for agile principles (e.g., TDD, CI).
- Experience in a variety of key areas, including distributed systems, containerization, cloud-native app architecture, web applications, and application security.
- Proficient in Azure with a strong desire to innovate in the cloud space.
- Excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Versatility in task management and comfort with virtual, distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant architectural experience.
- The following experience would be beneficial but is not mandatory:
- Cloud certifications (Azure preferred).
- Broad understanding of Financial Services markets.
- Experience with AI/ML applications, functional programming, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, and programming languages like Java, Python, Scala, Go.
- Skills in Typescript, Node.js, React.js, GraphQL, Nest.js, and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with search engines (OpenSearch/ElasticSearch) and tools (Docker, Jenkins).
