Job Description

You will get a chance to work in a company who has world class solutions in retail supply chain management and will help to understand the different aspects of supply chain management in retail sector. You will have opportunity in deploying and managing enterprise applications in Azure cloud, including AI/ML products which operates on High Performance Computing Servers powered by GPUs. You will have a chance to fine tune performance aspects, automate the deployments including monitoring and work on configuration management tools.

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle databases in the cloud for our clients on Azure and OCI Cloud.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud-based systems and services.
  • Monitor and maintain the security and availability of cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing.
  • Automate database administration tasks using SQL and PL/SQL development skills, scripting languages.
  • Create, administer, and maintain highly visible production databases with large amounts of data and high transaction rates, ensuring stability by designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform database refresh and backups to ensure that non-production environments have up-to-date data that accurately reflects the production environment.
  • Participate in an active on-call rotation and provide off-hours support to avoid impacting database availability.

Key Criteria:

  • 6-10 years of work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, patching, and upgrading Oracle database software and creating and managing database instances.
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS/OCI/AZURE.
  • Experience in Shell scripts for automation, SQL, PLSQL.
  • Experience in monitoring and optimizing database performance and implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience in managing table spaces for different users, DB capacity planning, and resource management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and manage RMAN backups.
  • Experience in administrating and maintaining existing 2 node RAC databases by using SRVCTL & CRSCTL commands.
  • Experience in performance tuning, generating AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports, and SQL/PLSQL coding skills for automation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Knowledge of managing security, including user access control and data encryption, and switchover and failover the database by using DGMGRL.
  • Relevant cloud/DBA certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle are an added advantage.
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques, such as root cause analysis, to resolve issues, adaptable to learn new things.
  • Understanding in ITIL and security process is must.
  • Strong logical & analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability and learning. Flexible in doing different tasks & coordinating with team.
  • Knowledge on Retail domain terminology will be helpful.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift model & Rotational On-call support.
