We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our talented team in Ghent. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Ghent office, typically 2-3 days a week in the office.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
- Ensure the security and compliance of our systems and data through best practices and regular audits.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
- Stay current with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously improve our processes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
