Introduction

The Senior Director of Professional Services will lead our professional services department, overseeing the development and delivery of solutions and services to our clients. This role is crucial for ensuring client satisfaction, driving service delivery excellence, and achieving operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service delivery management, client relationship management, and team leadership in a technology or consulting environment.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the professional services department strategy in alignment with company objectives.
    • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, consultants, and technical experts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as a senior advisor to key clients, building strong executive relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Service Delivery Excellence:
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet client needs, are delivered on time and within budget, and achieve targeted profit margins.
    • Oversee project portfolio, ensuring effective resource allocation, project execution, and risk management.
    • Implement best practices in project management and service delivery processes.
  • Business Development Support:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify service opportunities, participate in client pitches, and develop proposals that align with client needs and business objectives.
    • Contribute to the development of new services and solutions that address market needs and support business growth.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage the professional services P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and margin targets.
    • Oversee the billing and invoicing process for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and tools to enhance team productivity and service quality.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a professional services organization within a technology or consulting environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing a P&L.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and manage senior stakeholder expectations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
