Job Description

Who You’ll Work With

The Customs Compliance Program Manager will support US import compliance functions as part of the Global Trade Organization. You will be responsible for managing customs brokers, operating procedures and customs compliance matters including, but not limited Section 232, antidumping and countervailing duties, Partner Government Agency import regulations and Canadian imports. You will be responsible for researching, interpreting and applying customs regulations onto daily operational activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage customs brokerage activities, operating procedures & performance
  • Manage internal self-assessments, document findings, correct anomalies and develop close loop processes.
  • Ensure enterprise system maintenance on Item Master HTS, COO, Weight and Dimensions
  • Support HTS classification activities
  • Help develop and maintain strong internal controls
  • Strengthen and automate programs related to PGA compliance, Section 232 and AD/CVD.
  • Deliver internal and external training on business specific areas
  • Support valuation activities and programs
  • Process and document responses to Customs CF28/CF29
  • Manage programs using USCBP ACE Portal
  • Support activities in Canada and CARM application
  • Manage FTZ program

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in US import regimes, Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, customs valuation and rules of origin
  • Strong knowledge of 19 CFR Customs Duties & Harmonized Tariff Schedule Experienced project management skills
  • Strong corporate cross functional familiarity to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Displays excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, SAP applications and experience automating repetitive processes.
  • Proficient with USCBP ACE
  • Excellent influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive experience interacting with US Customs, other government agencies on trade compliance issues.
  • Experience with classification of telecommunication equipment and parts
  • Experience partnering with customs brokers to improve entry quality, publish and revise customs handbooks and broker parts dictionary.
  • Understands minimum supply chain security requirements
  • Licensed Customs Broker a plus
