Job Description

What You’ll Do

As an ECAD librarian your primary responsibility will be to create Schematic symbols and layout footprints to meet Arista requirements and manufacturability standards. You will work with engineers to create and approve new components, validating the library parts for accuracy and compliance with company standards. You will also be responsible to manage and maintain the library of components used in our Schematics and PCB designs. Using your expertise and experience you will update standards, requirements and procedures and incorporate any feedback to drive a best breed ECAD library.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience creating/maintaining an ECAD library
  • Create schematic symbols from datasheets and engineers' requests
  • Design physical footprints from specifications and maintain the ECAD parts library and ensure the parts library is kept accurate and up to date
  • Experienced in the creation and verification of high density Printed Circuit Schematic Symbols and Layout
  • Footprints using Cadence PCB/CAD tools.
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro, Orcad Capture, Concept HDL and System Capture
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturer’s datasheets and drawings.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and a drive to produce quality work.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others

Desired Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Cadence ADM, EDM and Pulse
  • Experience with PCB layout and routing
  • Experience with Valor or other CAM software tools.
  • Experience writing scripts to automate routine tasks associated with ECAD applications, databases, and libraries.
  • Experience working with PLM software (Agile preferred)

Compensation Information:

The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $90,000 to $133,000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
