We're looking for a technically skilled Billing & Revenue Specialist to join our accounting team. You'll manage our billing operations while ensuring accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606. This role combines operational billing excellence with technical revenue accounting, supporting our audit readiness and financial reporting. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.

In this role, you will

  • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to SaaS subscription contracts and professional services

  • Analyze contract modifications, amendments, and cancellations for proper revenue treatment

  • Manage deferred revenue schedules and ensure accurate revenue recognition timing

  • Oversee monthly revenue close processes including journal entries and reconciliations

  • Handle end-to-end billing operations including invoice generation, delivery, and follow-up

  • Manage collections activities and maintain accounts receivable aging within targets

  • Research and document complex revenue recognition scenarios (multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, contract modifications)

  • Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve invoice disputes

  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success on contract terms that impact revenue recognition

  • Maintain accurate data in Tabs, NetSuite, and revenue systems

  • Support implementation of revenue accounting policies and internal controls

  • Prepare revenue reports and analytics for month-end close and audit purposes

What excites us

  • 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or subscription businesses

  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards

  • Experience with deferred revenue management and multi-element arrangements

  • Background in billing operations and accounts receivable

  • Experience with billing systems and ERP software (NetSuite experience a plus)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Strong written communication skills for customer and cross-functional interactions

  • Ability to document technical accounting positions clearly

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
