Enable Internet businesses to sell across borders

We’re tackling a key challenge for all Internet businesses today: navigating the changing landscape of tax. In the last few years, software businesses have gone from not having to worry about sales tax, to needing to monitor their exposure, calculate local sales tax rates, and file returns in over 20 US states and many countries worldwide.

So much of our economy today and tomorrow exists online. The internet economy has grown 6x over the last 10 years and software development productivity is only positioned to accelerate. Companies should be able to transact with customers everywhere. Anrok is building the tools behind the scenes that make compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small.

Anrok connects with billing and payment systems to automate sales tax compliance end-to-end. We have raised over $50M from leading investors like Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures. For those that call the Bay Area home, we work 3 days a week from our Embarcadero office, and work from home 2 days a week.

As a Business Operations Associate, you'll be a key player in scaling Anrok's customer engine during our critical growth phase. Your analysis and strategic insights will directly influence our product roadmap and help shape how thousands of businesses manage their tax compliance. Through the continual use of measurement, data analysis and customer feedback you will continually iterate and improve our execution. You will work closely with engineering, product, sales, customer support and finance teams to create a seamless customer activation experience.

In this role, you will:

Be the driving force behind optimizing our customer journey, working at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution. Specifically, you will:

  • Own the analysis and optimization of our customer activation funnel, using data to identify friction points and implement solutions that accelerate time-to-value

  • Partner with our Product team to translate customer insights into product improvements, directly influencing our roadmap

  • Build and maintain critical dashboards that track key metrics, presenting insights to leadership that shape company strategy

  • Design and implement scalable processes that set both our customers and internal teams up for success

  • Collaborate across departments (Sales, Engineering, Product, Finance) to create a seamless customer experience

What excites us:

  • 2+ years of experience in strategy or operations roles within a high growth tech company

  • Ability to jump into new situations and quickly solve problems, with an eye toward architecting solutions that will scale

  • Ability to distill and translate data and messy workflows into standardized processes

  • Empathetic and effective operational mindset to work cross-functionally

What we offer:

  • The equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.

  • Daily lunch and snacks for those working out of our San Francisco office.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.

  • One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits, and more.

  • Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.

  • Bi-annual team offsites and optional quarterly gatherings at the SF HQ office.

  • Home office setup stipend to ensure you have the equipment you need to thrive at work.
