Amyris is seeking a Warehouse Technician to execute all requirements in preparing, filling and packaging the complete line of offered cosmetic ingredient products fills completed in the CEPA/Warehouse associated to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and expectation documents.

Additionally, you will be responsible for handling all the facets of the warehousing function which includes but is not limited to receiving of non-bulk raw materials and packaging components, movement of materials throughout the warehouse, inventory management, and the shipping of finished goods. Maintain CEPA and Warehouse per 5S Standards, ISO GMP standards and self-audits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment by participating in safety programs, committees, conducting safety audits, and complying with all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to ISO 22716 – Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines for cosmetics.
  • Complete all preparatory work required prior to conducting all filling operations inside the CEPA.
  • Complete all production orders by complying with the SOPs detailing all necessary activities to complete the tasks.
  • Efficiently work with other departments to complete filling operations.
  • Perform all necessary changeovers.
  • Monitor all CEPA operational equipment and coordinator all scheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Load and unload tankers, trucks, and containers for freight shipping.
  • Take weekly outages of Bulk Storage tanks.
  • Report inventory from production pad in/out of warehouse; assist in maintaining department inventories by performing assigned inventory counts, including monthly and quarterly cycle counts.
  • Weigh out raw materials needed in the production process.
  • Assist in procuring lab samples, as required.
  • Maintain dykes in a clean and organized manner.
  • Document and report all inventory transactions.
  • Locate and move packaged, released inventory to satisfy current order.
  • Prepare packaging components for use in correct order as detailed in SOP, including labeling and packaging of product; secure finished packaged items, complete shipping documentation and maintain packing area to comply with all regulatory, safety and GMP requirements.
  • Prepare shipments: strapping and dunnage; palletize and stretch wrap packaged product in preparation for shipment.
  • Handling hazardous materials (IPA/Carbon).


Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift training and 1+ year of forklift experience
  • Experience writing documentation for good record keeping
  • Experience speaking with individuals across various levels of an organization


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a shipping and receiving department.


Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend and stoop, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • While working in this job the employee is frequently exposed to weather conditions including occasional extreme heat and cold.
  • Must possess the ability to wear a respirator.

The hourly pay for this non-exempt role is $19. Hourly rate offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis, and will vary based on the candidate’s skills, depth of experience and specific work location.
