Advocate, a leading developer of AI applications aimed at improving government and civilian relations through automation, is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer. The Chief Revenue Officer role is integral to our growth strategy, focusing on developing and executing revenue-generating initiatives while actively shaping the company's overall strategy and go-to-market approach. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a hands-on executor, and a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You will bring a proven expertise in strategy and rapid product revenue growth in direct to consumer and/or B2B at the early stage as we think about monetizing applications for consumers, businesses and the government.
You will join our leadership team at the earliest stages and help shape our go-to-market approach through a variety of channels. This executive will be responsible for architecting and executing innovative sales strategies, building and leading a high-caliber team, and fostering key relationships to drive substantial revenue growth. Ideal candidates will have a successful track record as CROs or founders in similar growth trajectories, demonstrating their ability to navigate and accelerate expansion in dynamic and technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the organization's revenue strategy and goals, ensuring rapid market capture and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to scale Advocate's platform, focusing on both direct to consumer and B2B channels to maximize market penetration and use of our applications.
  • Leverage expertise in government relations to navigate and succeed in selling technology solutions to government entities.
  • Ensure a customer-centric approach to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed strategic decisions, manage budgets and forecast with precision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product, marketing, and sales strategies with market needs and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies to understand their needs and align Advocate's offerings.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record of scaling technology products in direct to consumer, B2B or B2G environments, ideally with experience taking a company from early-stage growth to market dominance.
  • Ideally, a demonstrated success in engaging with and selling to government agencies, with a deep understanding of government procurement processes and cycles.
  • Broad leadership and ownership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive a team towards achieving ambitious revenue targets and overall company goals.
  • Customer-centric and entrepreneurial mindset and track record.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to business challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
