You will help support our development of next-generation uLED displays.

We seek a highly motivated Senior Chemist with a strong background in developing and characterizing novel chemical synthesis processes and materials to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in synthesizing, characterizing, and optimizing CdSe-CdS-ZnS and other quantum dots. The role will involve developing new and innovative methods for synthesizing quantum dots, optimizing their performance, and characterizing their properties to facilitate their commercial development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to synthesize and optimize quantum dots for various applications.
  • Develop new and innovative methods for synthesizing quantum dots and optimizing their performance.
  • Tailor and optimize the characteristics of quantum dots, shells, and ligands to meet the integrated requirements of Mojo’s LED micro display products.
  • Characterize the physical and chemical properties of quantum dots using a range of analytical techniques, such as UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS).
  • Contribute to developing characterization tools, process understanding, and failure analysis.
  • Develop models to predict crystal growth and synthesis kinetics to optimize the synthesis process and improve the performance of quantum dots.
  • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, and release schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Expertise in synthesizing, optimizing, and characterizing quantum dots and/or other nanocrystals.
  • Experience in material-related characterization of semiconductors and processes common in III-V and II-VI material systems.
  • A deep understanding of crystal growth and synthesis kinetics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Level: Principal Engineer (P5) Salary Range - $152K - $235K

Senior Staff Engineer (P4) Salary Range - $121K-$221K

Staff Engineer (P3) Salary Range - $97K - $201K
